Things to Do in Kissimmee & Orlando

Take an Airboat Tour Through the Everglades

This is what most people come for, and it's the heart of everything we do. Climb aboard a U.S. Coast Guard–inspected airboat — they seat up to 17 passengers — and hold on as your captain glides you out across the open marsh at speeds up to 45 miles per hour, weaving between towering walls of saw grass. Then things go quiet, the boat slows, and the real show begins: the wildlife that actually lives out here.

You might spot alligators sunning on the bank, turtles, wild hogs, deer, even armadillos — and overhead, some of the richest birdlife in the state. Boggy Creek sits near one of the largest Bald Eagle populations in the world, and our marshes are home to Sandhill Cranes, Blue Herons, Ospreys, Snowy Egrets, Roseate Spoonbills, and Wood Storks. Nothing out here is staged or fenced. These are wild animals in their natural home, so every tour is different, and our captains — who know this water like their own backyard — never quite know what the next bend will reveal.

Want the full experience? Choose your time of day. A daytime tour is classic Florida wilderness in full color. A sunset tour glides you across the water as the sky lights up over the lake. And a night tour brings out the swamp's nocturnal hunters — you're all but guaranteed to come face to face with an American Alligator after dark.

Visiting during Halloween season? Boggy Creek also hosts The Terror 2 at Boggy Creek, an Orlando Halloween event featuring a nighttime airboat mission, haunted military transport, haunted trail, and additional after-dark experiences on select Saturdays.

Tours are safe and fun for all ages — there's no minimum age or height requirement. Little ones under two can ride on a parent's lap (life vests are provided and required for children under six).

Meet the Highland Cows at Mini Moo Land

When you're back on dry land, head straight for the cows — they're the surprise favorite for just about everyone who visits. Mini Moo Land is home to our herd of Scottish Highland cows: the big-haired, long-horned, impossibly fluffy ones you've seen all over the internet. But here, you don't just look at them from behind a fence. You get to walk right up, say hello, and spend real time with them.

It's calm, hands-on, and easily the most kid-friendly thing on the property — gentle enough for toddlers, charming enough that the grown-ups end up taking just as many photos. A visit runs about 45 minutes, but you're welcome to linger as long as you like. Feed and grooming brushes are included, so everyone gets a turn.

$25 / person, all ages  ·  Open daily 9 AM–5 PM  ·  About 45 minutes  ·  Walk-ins welcome, or add it to any airboat tour

Panning for gems at the Boggy Creek fossil and gem mine

Strike It Rich at the Fossil & Gem Mine

Hand the kids a bucket and watch their eyes light up. At our Fossil & Gem Mine, you'll sift bags of rough through a 70-foot flowing mining trough and uncover real semi-precious gems, crystals, and ancient fossils hiding in the dirt. Best part? It's finders keepers — everything you dig up, you take home. It's hands-on, a little bit messy, and a guaranteed hit with young prospectors.

Butterfly on a leaf in the Boggy Creek butterfly garden

Wander the Butterfly Garden

Step into a quieter corner of the park and let the day slow down. Our enclosed butterfly garden is home to 17 species of native butterfly drifting among the plants and flowers — and they're not the only residents. Keep an eye out for turtles, frogs, brightly colored Wood Ducks, and the occasional Bob White quail. You can even feed the butterflies nectar right from your hand. It's a gentle, magical stop that's a favorite with grandparents and grandkids alike.

Visit the Gator Pond

No trip to a Florida swamp park is complete without the gators. Our on-site gator pond is home to around 35 juvenile American Alligators that you can watch up close, safely, from the bank — perfect for unforgettable photos. Pick up a bag of food in the gift shop and you can even feed them. We love our gators, but we don't pick them up for holding or photos — they're wild animals, and we keep it that way.

Grab Lunch at the Boggy Bottom BBQ Food Truck

All that adventure works up an appetite. Our Boggy Bottom BBQ food truck serves up lakeside Southern favorites — think pulled pork, hot dogs, and hearty sandwiches — that you can enjoy right by the water. It's casual, it's tasty, and it means you never have to leave the park to refuel.
